3 blind mice

So I have a rodent problem in my apartment. Rats or mice...whatever they are, they disgust me. Knowing that they are around, living in the walls, or under the floor boards make me somewhat paranoid. If you want to see video clips of these creatures who have taken over my apartment, feel free to do so. But only watch if you can stomach the "grossness"!

This is where it all started...
And then THEY took over...

So we took action and here are the results:

Strike 1

Strike 2
Strike 3

But did we win the war? NO.

2 more were found: in the closet and in the shoe rack. So I had to do something to hopefully finish these critters off. I did the only thing a nursing student can be expected to do: I did some research! I googled and googled, and googled some more. Finally, I found what I was looking for: a solution. It may not be full proof but at least it was a worth a try.

The Peppermint solution

My apartment smelled like peppermint the entire day and still does! The scent was so strong my eyes were burning and my throat was itching! And then, as luck would have it, my dad found the hell hole they came out of: behind the stove, there is a wire that runs through a tiny hole in the floor. Those rat bastards chewed that thick ass wire to create more space for themselves to get through! Bastards! They almost destroyed our oven!!!

So finally, my dad covered that hole with steel wool and I placed countless drops of peppermint oil behind the stove. Hopefully 1+1 = no more rodents!

Here is a dedication to the 3 who died this past week

Three blind mice, three blind mice,
See how they run, see how they run,
They all ran after the farmer's wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a thing in your life,
As three blind mice?

Home sweet Home

There's no place like home for the holidays. It feels good to be home.

Yay! Christmas!

I can't wait to drive down to Jersey, go to the Cheesecake factory with my cousins, play the Nintendo Wii with them, and see the rest of my family! It's that time of year again...

Food + Family = Great Christmas!

It'll be a well-deserved holiday vacation after the stressful semester I just had. I'll definitely cherish every minute of this vacation.

Happy Holidays~
Merry Christmas~
Happy New Year~
